These terms apply to purchases and use of boitoi.in, operated by Boitoi India LLP, 115, Kona Dhara Para, Howrah – 711114, West Bengal, India. Customer care: info@boitoi.in / +91 8902988961.
Your legal rights remain protected. These policies do not limit remedies available under applicable consumer-protection law. A product label, short reporting window, sale offer or manufacturer warranty does not override those rights.
Product information and sellers
Read the selected product and variant details before ordering: title, author/contributors, edition, language, format/binding, identifiers, publisher and other specifications where available. A publisher or brand name does not by itself identify the legal seller. Seller, manufacturer/importer and country-of-origin information, where applicable, should be available before purchase. Contact us if information needed for your decision is missing; we will seek clarification rather than assume a value.
Product-specific warranty, guarantee, expiry/use-by and return conditions apply where relevant, subject to your legal rights. For third-party seller enquiries or dispute resolution, contact the Grievance Officer for the seller information applicable to your order.
Orders and consent
Check the selected edition/variant, quantity, contact/address and total before confirming your order. Purchase consent must be an affirmative action. If an item is unavailable or a material listing error affects the order, we will contact you about a correction you accept or cancellation and refund. We will not substitute a materially different item without your agreement.
Prices, offers and price history
Prices are displayed in the selected currency. The checkout total includes the disclosed product amount, taxes where applicable, and selected shipping/payment-related charges. We do not add undisclosed charges after confirmation. Coupon, bank, membership and other conditional offers apply only when their stated conditions are met.
MRP, where identified as such, is the maximum retail price and is distinct from a previous selling price. A compare-at/reference price must not be treated as evidence of the lowest price in the preceding 30 days. Where price history is displayed, its scope, currency, variant and recording dates explain what is covered. Missing historical records must not be represented as a verified lowest price.
The notified Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) (Amendment) Rules, 2026 commence on 1 January 2027. They include a prior-price disclosure for announcements of reduced prices, based on the relevant preceding 30-day lowest price. This policy does not claim that a current price snapshot is a complete 30-day record.
Shipping, cancellations, returns and refunds
The Shipping Policy and Return & Refund Policy form part of these terms. They explain dispatch/transit estimates, pre-orders, delivery charges, cancellation and statutory remedies. We do not apply the former automatic 3% cancellation deduction or make unboxing videos a condition of a genuine claim.
Pre-orders follow the date stated for the product. Material delays will be communicated with the available options; an extension requires your agreement. Partial-COD advances follow the same refund principles as other payments.
Digital products and intellectual property
Digital purchases provide the access or download rights stated on the product page. Please check format/device compatibility. Failed delivery, corrupt files and material misdescription can be reported for correction or the appropriate remedy. Purchasing a book or digital file does not transfer its copyright or permit unauthorised redistribution.
Reviews, sponsored content and browsing
Reviews should reflect a real experience and must not contain unlawful content or expose another person’s private information. Paid placements must be clearly identified. We do not authorise fabricated reviews, false urgency or misleading price comparisons. Collection sorting and search are separate features; a product’s position is not a guarantee of quality or a personal recommendation.
Privacy and communications
Our Privacy Policy explains data use and your choices. Using this site or placing an order is not blanket consent to unrelated marketing or all future data uses. Required transaction messages are separate from optional marketing. Where express consent is required, it must be obtained before that use.
Responsibility and changes
Use the site lawfully and provide accurate order information. We investigate technical problems and fulfilment errors and honour remedies required by law. No term excludes responsibility or compensation that cannot lawfully be excluded. Updated terms are dated on this page; later revisions do not retrospectively remove rights for an existing purchase.
Applicable Indian law governs these terms, without excluding mandatory protections that apply to you. Nothing here requires exclusive jurisdiction that would prevent you from approaching a competent Consumer Commission.
