The first book should not have to wait for the first salary.
Authors with a valid current school, college or university ID receive 5% concession on the base publishing package fee for any fixed plan.
eBook / EPUB: Digital-book preparation, conversion and publishing are optional paid add-ons across all plans, including Premium and Custom Plan. No fixed publishing package includes eBook / EPUB by default.
* Pricing: Base prices are indicative. Final pricing depends on prevailing material costs, page count, trim size, paper, binding, colour/illustration requirements, author-copy quantity, shipping and other project parameters. Additional pages are quoted separately.
Editing limits: Editing allowance increases by plan: Standard includes 1 editing layer up to 25,000 words; Professional includes 2 editing layers up to 40,000 words; Premium includes 2 editing layers plus an editorial report up to 50,000 words. Basic and Starter treat editing as an optional paid add-on. Longer manuscripts, developmental rewriting and unusually complex editorial work are quoted separately.
Editing layer: An editing layer is a defined editorial pass on the manuscript. The exact scope—such as language/copy editing, consistency review or other agreed editorial work—is confirmed in the written scope sheet. Proof correction after typesetting is a separate service and does not consume the editing word allowance.
Formatting cap: Formatting is included only up to the page limit of the selected plan. Complex tables, equations, extensive images, multilingual composition or unusual typography may require a revised quote.
Proof correction: Included rounds cover author-marked typographical and layout corrections after typesetting, not rewriting, developmental editing or major restructuring. Basic and Starter can add Boitoi-assisted proof correction at ₹13.75/page.
Cover revisions: A revision round means changes to the selected concept, not a completely new concept. Commissioned illustration, licensed imagery, photography and complex artwork can change the final quote.
Marketing: Any paid-ad management period refers to campaign management only; media spend is separate. Retail placement, media coverage, reviews, bestseller status and sales are never guaranteed.
Student concession: 5% applies to the base fee of fixed plans after valid ID verification; it excludes GST, additional pages/copies, shipping, paid advertising, third-party fees, special materials and optional add-ons, and cannot be combined with another promotional discount.

How do I choose the right publishing plan?
Basic is a compact essential route. Starter adds guided design and formatting. Standard is the balanced middle plan with professional cover design and one assisted proof-correction round. Professional increases page allowance, proofing and launch support. Premium is the flagship route with premium art direction, up to 500 pages, a maximum of 10 cover revision rounds and up to 3 proof-correction rounds. eBook / EPUB publishing is an optional paid add-on for every plan. Custom Plan is built around unusual formats or production requirements.
Is the calculator showing a final price?
No. It uses illustrative assumptions for printing, binding, cover preparation and setup. It does not include a publishing package, GST, shipping or other services. Fill in the enquiry form for an actual quotation based on your manuscript.
Will my book receive an ISBN?
Boitoi’s publishing offering includes free ISBN registration. Confirm the requirements for your selected format with the team; different editions can require separate ISBNs.
Can I supply my own cover or choose AI artwork?
The calculator lets you explore a self-supplied cover, AI-assisted design or a cover artist. The team will confirm print readiness, usage permissions, creative scope and actual pricing before production.
What about royalties, rights and publishing timelines?
Ask your publishing expert for the written terms covering rights, royalties, reporting, deliverables and timelines for your book. These depend on your agreed publishing arrangement.
How does distribution vary by plan?
Basic includes Boitoi listing and can add wider distribution by quotation. Starter and higher plans add marketplace availability, while Standard, Professional and Premium include progressively broader bookstore and e-commerce support. Channel eligibility, retail terms, printing, shipping and any exceptional distribution costs are confirmed for the book before launch.
Does distribution guarantee book sales?
No. Availability and marketing support help readers discover a book, but do not guarantee sales, bestseller status or placement in a particular physical shop.
Is eBook / EPUB included in a publishing plan?
No. eBook / EPUB preparation, conversion and publishing are optional paid add-ons across every Boitoi publishing plan, including Premium and Custom Plan.
How do the editing word limits work?
Editing allowance grows with the plan. Standard includes one editing layer for up to 25,000 words; Professional includes two editing layers for up to 40,000 words; Premium includes two editing layers plus an editorial report for up to 50,000 words. Basic and Starter offer editing as a paid add-on. Manuscripts beyond the plan limit, developmental rewriting, specialist editing or unusually complex work are quoted separately.
What will Boitoi confirm in writing before production?
Your written scope should state the selected plan, final price, included services, page and word caps, author copies, design and correction limits, distribution scope, royalty formula, payout cycle, timeline and agreed add-ons. The executed scope and agreement take priority over informal or verbal discussions.
Is the Boitoi Author Workspace already live?
The full Author Workspace is in development. The roadmap includes project tracking, approvals, sales and earnings visibility, author-copy ordering and marketing assets. Until those modules launch, your written agreement and publishing-team updates remain the authoritative project record.
