
Physics Text Book For Class XI (Part I), published in 2011 by the National Council Of Education Research And Training (NCERT), is the second part of the popular textbook on physics meant for Class XI students, who follow the syllabus prescribed by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The book has been written strictly as per the predefined syllabus and it features many examples and simple language in order to help students quickly grasp the concepts of physics. The chapters in the book are broadly divided into Mechanical Properties of Solids, Mechanical Properties of Fluids, Thermal Properties of Matter, Thermodynamics, Kinetic Theory, Oscillations, and Waves. Some of the laws of physics explained in the book include Hooke’s Law, Bernoulli’s Principle, Stress-Strain Curve, Reynolds’ Number, Newton’s Law of Cooling, Zeroth Law of Thermodynamics, the Law of Equi-partition of Energy, Doppler Effect, and Kinetic Theory of an Ideal Gas. The sample questions at the end of each chapter tests the knowledge gained by the students, and the answers to these questions are provided within the book itself.
