IBISER DIM, (Egg of Ibis) is a Bengali mystery story for children. Along with the mystery and adventures scattered throughout the pages of the book, this story also teaches to love the nature around us. Good values penetrate into the brain cells of the little ones. While reading, the mind goes to the kingdom of birds. ‘Chhotka’ teaches how to recognize Ibis, Purple Heron or Spot-Build-Duck. Entangled in the web of mysteries, the children sometimes reach the Balugaon station in Odisha, sometimes in the vast waters of Manglajori, and sometimes in the ancient Egyptian city of Hermopolis. Everyone knows about the fox-headed god ‘Anubis’, but who knows the name of the mysterious Egyptian Ibis-headed god? The characters scattered in the episodes of the story go deep into the mind and the obsession of love remains. Tintin, Chhotka, Mukesh Uncle, Subhadra Pisi, Jaguda and police officer Mr. Pattanaik are remembered for a long time. Tintin teaches how to be strong in self-confidence and resolutely protest against injustice. Once you start reading, you can’t give up without breaking the web of mystery. The story has been written for the boys and girls of this generation who don’t read Bengali story books, who spend their leisure time with tablet, mobile phone or computer. These kids are now used to with online classes, digital books etc, so ‘IBISER DIM’ has been published as an ‘e-Book’ with the aim of making it available and affordable to everyone. It will be a grand success for the author If the kids would fall in love with Bengali books through adventure and mystery stories.
